Laura: I went through a period where I dressed like a National Geographic photographer, probably to be eccentric.
Kate: I never understood that. She’d wear these weird sandals that people wear who hike in the woods. I was horrified. I went through a phase where I’d only wear really bad band tee shirts.
Laura: And really bad baggy sweaters.
Kate: You would joke that I’d go into any thrift store anywhere and pick out the ugliest sweater.
