reason #129238420 why carine roitfeld is my favorite vogue editor
>> She wears a beautiful Givenchy Haute Couture gown to an event the day after it premieres on the runway.
it's evolution, baby!

>> NY Magazine has put together a lovely history of skinny pants. The only thing is, it ends with stirrup pants most recently. What's wrong with that picture?
hermes in the air
>> The fedora, the shirt-dress, the walk... Gemma's looking good for Hermes.
somebody shoot me
>> (or shoot them)... Abercrombie is selling leggings.
hooked on heroin chic
fashion overkill
>> Don't get me wrong, I love Gemma... But I'm getting really sick of seeing her face everywhere. This is the cover for the March Vogue Nippon, and she's supposed to be on the March cover of Vogue China as well... The alien models, they're taking over the world!

the good witch of the 9 west
>> It looks like Glenda might be bringing you some designer shoes when she appears out of her pink bubble... According to WWD, Nine West is in negotiations with Vivienne Westwood, Sophia Kokosalaki, and Thakoon Panichgul to produce handbags, shoes, belts, and other small leather goods for as early as this fall. My fingers are crossed for some Westwood pirate boots...
snake charmer
>> I've always hated mesh purses. They always look cheap and tacky to me. And Whiting Davis being the king of mesh purses (since the late 1800s), I never gave them a second thought. Good thing I'm an ebay whore, and came across their costume jewelry line by chance, or I would have never found their mesh snake bracelets. Yes, yes, I know, they're made out of the same stuff -- mesh. But I'm a fickle pickle, okay? They coil around your wrist...or up your arm... (whichever you prefer) how cool is that?
The bracelets can be purchased at Collector's Index or you can try your luck on ebay.
