>> With all the male/female looks walking down the runway for fall, the March 2006 Vogue Italia cover is quite apropos.  And who better to do it with that Amanda Moore (yep, she's back!) -- whose first shoot ever involved her "being done up like a boy."  I like how Vogue Italia has been going with all these edgy covers lately -- it makes up for the rest of the blah covers that we usually see.  And while the cover shot is decent, I much prefer Amanda's supplement cover for the issue -- it shows off her beautiful features better.

>>  The new Chloe shoes for fall are high... perhaps even higher than those for spring.  They're so high, in fact, that Stam fell on the runway earlier today.  Now we all know that models have fallen on the runway before, and they will fall again, but these are girls who are used to walking in 4-inch, 5-inch, maybe even more-inch heels -- it's part of their job description.  Not sure it bodes well for the rest of the population. 

>> We all got a little worried about him after the past couple of collections -- had McQueen gone commercial on us?  Of all people, McQueen?  The shock and awe master of the fashion world?  It was a serious coup, if true. 

But Alexander McQueen's Fall 2006 collection proved all us naysayers wrong -- we never should have doubted him.  McQueen's beautiful handiwork is back -- with a vengeance.  The hairpieces, the 40's-inspired tweed suits, the Elizabethan high collars, the brocades, the tartans, the cascading organza ruffles... the Kate Moss hologram!  The shoes!  I could leave the feather stuff behind, but other than that, God, I wish I had been there, at the show, to see everything. 

>> I didn't know this, but apparently the movie also stars Gisele.  I guess they did need a model in there somewhere, since they are at a fashion magazine.  The poster's cute though, isn't it?
