tara's at target!

>> Unfortunately they don't have my favorite colorblock dress in stock yet, but Target has started stocking the Tara Jarmon line for Go International.  I was able to finally see what I think is the whole collection, and it's overall pretty disappointing to me (of course I'm much more a Luella fan than a Tara Jarmon fan in the first place).  But there are a few cute pieces to be had (like the coral top, right) -- and truth be told, that's all I really need.

because it is casual friday, after all...

>> So I'm going to talk about another t-shirt.  It's by designer Jens Laugesen (who is excellent with the minimalistic, cool shapes approach, might I add), and it's being auctioned off on Ebay as we speak to benefit Save the Children as part of an effort to raise awareness on ethical business practices in the clothing manufacture industry.  There's something just insanely appealing about the shirt's in-your-face disco goldiness (reminds me of Fall Gucci).  And I love the way the back makes it almost looks like a huge gold breastplate.  So en garde -- I dare you to outbid me.  It's for a good cause, anyway.

>> Colette comes through again with this great trompe de l'oeil tee.  Fun for acting like you're James Bond's daughter (who has a sense of humor), or just because we all have a little bad girl inside.  And come on, if you wear this shirt, you're not realllly being that bad anyway.  It'll just make you feel good.

i'm late, i'm late, for a very important date

>> I apologize for the late notice, but it's not too late, promise.  If you love vintage, I have a place for your tush to be today and tomorrow -- the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show.  It's huge: 75 vintage clothing and antique textile dealers for today, April 28 and tomorrow, April 29 at the Metropolitan Pavilion.  Just don't tell me if you see a vintage Chanel bag -- I don't want to know.

>>  I have been looking for a pin-up bathing suit like this for I don't even know how long... definitely more than five years.  And then this comes across my desk... it is almost perfect.  I dare say I would have liked it a bit more had it been shirred and if the halter straps were set a little wider apart... Yes, I've had this ideal image in my head for a long time now.  But this is love -- that's all there is to say.  EDIT:  Anddd I spoke too soon.  My ideal pin-up suit, it does exist outside of my head after all -- it's in Norma Kamali's swimwear collection.  Gorgeous.  (Thanks, cashmeregrunge!)

>>  No worries about Versace (I say that now, but may change my mind later...) -- the rumor about Lindsay Lohan doing their fall ad campaign is now said to be false, WWD reports.  Donatella is in New York currently overseeing the shoot... I wonder who's in front of the camera?
