She's 25 and about to graduate from Parsons with a focus on the business side of design.  I.E. She'll be prepared to develop and launch fashion and design products.  She recently told PAPER Magazine: "I want to do art direction for a magazine of fashion advertising."

Oh, and did I mention she has a internship with photographer Craig McDean?  But the best part of it all -- when asked to choose between homework and going to a Marc Jacobs show, she replied, "The homework comes first."  Now how many of us could say we would make the same choice?

the big y-o-u

>> Taking a cue from The Sartorialist, I would love to know a little about you all -- my faithful supporters and audience.  I'm quite curious, actually.  So if you have some time in those busy little lives of yours, I would love to hear from you.   I have a few questions for your consideration, but you are not at all obliged to answer all of them, by any means: 1)  Age 2)  Gender 3)  City/State (US) or City/Country (International) 4)  Profession 5)  Favorite fashion brands 6)  Favorite magazines 7)  Favorite stores 8)  Do you shop online?

up with the times

>> I love when the New York Times -- or any newspaper for that matter -- reports on trends.  Like this week: "Perhaps brunette is the new blond."  Hmm... perhaps?  How many times does this assertion really need to be made?  The article is enjoyable, but really -- do we have to go back to that age-old, tired dilemma?

Stick to the stuff in your Style Magazine, NYT -- then you're golden.

them bones

>>  I am in want with these earrings (in love, too).  The bones, the length... ahhh.  They're by Scott Wilson, who I haven't been able to find anything on on the Internet, but I have a number to call, so I'm going to try to get to that tomorrow.  I'll keep you updated.  I was going to wait until I had more information, but I couldn't -- I had to share right away.

>> To all of you who said that no one would find a use for the neckless Dior Haute Couture dresses -- looks like Carine did.  And it works well, too, if I do say so myself.  (April 2006 Vogue Paris)

the oxford club

>>  I have been looking for shoes like these forever -- white oxfords.  Good with a menswear suit getup, good for the schoolgirl look with some knee socks.  They've very much got a jolie laide thing going on -- they're definitely not the most beautiful shoes I've ever seen, but they've got something solid, simple, and their narrow silhouette makes them a bit more feminine.
