>> It cracks me up to compare the different "it" girls -- us Americans have representation from the likes of Lindsay Lohan, the Brits have Sienna Miller, and then there's the French version. 

The French magazine Jalouse just named Valentine Fillol-Cordier their "it" girl of the moment.  It's just amazing how natural and laidback and just real she looks compared to her counterparts.  And I like that.  She's quite the femme mysterieuse -- it is so very hard to find pictures of her on the internet.  And I quite like that as well -- that she doesn't milk the spotlight for all it's worth.  She does very much have that effortlessly chic feel to her that is so very French.  The accompanying editorial they had in Jalouse will illustrate what I mean for you -- and she wears this great clock necklace throughout.   

>>  More and more of those wide-legged numbers are popping up.  I've always loved how Karen Walker does it seventies-style with the one-two punch of wide legs and a high waist.  These jeans just make Farrah Fawcett come to mind when I look at them.  And they have a great back pocket design too.

>>  There is a great little Anna Sui dress on sale just waiting for you.  Drop waist, fun texture (including gold, one of the colors you're going to want to have for fall), and yet very simple.  So many different ways you could wear it.  Plus, who can resist the cute little bow on the back?
