In The Showroom: Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2009 Handbags

After having such a great time interviewing Tommy Hilfiger backstage at his Spring 09 show, we were delighted to see his handbag range at the Paul Wilmot press preview. In the interview Hilfiger talked to us about putting the consumer first and so it came as no surprise that his Spring 2009 handbags will be offered in every color and in as many shapes as you can wrap your mind around. In The Showroom: Luca Luca Spring 2009
When we stepped into the offices of Paul Wilmot Communications to attend their Spring 09 press preview we were immediately greeted with a warm smile from two attractive receptionists and Bellinis from Ciprianis--such is the way of Paul Wilmot. The first collection we looked over was the Luca Luca Spring 09 collection. It was understated with neat tailoring which makes it a perfect collection to see in person. As busy as it was (everyone was eyeing this rack, wanting to take a look through the collection) we picked out a few pieces that we thought really made a statement. One jumpsuit in particular we remembered from the Spring 09 runway show, and was as nicely tailored in person as it appeared on the model. The salmon, white, and black shoes were also one of our favorite aspects of the collection--tiny perforations gave them a sporty feel. Check out our gallery from the preview below, and the entire Spring 09 runway show, right here.

Anna Sui Fall 08 Deliveries

Anna Sui might not have the same kind of high fashion clout as Maison Martin Margiela or Givenchy, but that shouldn't dissuade us from talking about her beyond the eighth grade. The Fall 08 show was so visually stimulating, we hardly knew how to place it in the context of the season. Seeing everything begin to ship, however, as its own separate garment, makes us appreciate this collection much more. Each piece has a print or silhouette that would make it stand out in your wardrobe, and there are...so many pieces to choose from. Just see for yourself--the complete Fall 09 show right here.
