Naomi was in the Prada print ads along with Christy Turlington back in 1994 . . . maybe it's time for Sasha to have a new partner?

Let's face it, your giant bag is weighing you down. Though it undoubtedly compliments the volume of your clothes in winter it's not exactly proportionate come silk blouse and shorts-time. In fact, the hotter it becomes (and less you wear) the more mismatched does your oversized bag feel. In our little A.P.C. mailer today, we bumped into their summer '08 purse, in that perfect variant of lemon yellow, sweeping the S/S. We think the size, though a difficult move for those accustomed to a large bag, is perfect for the weightless habits of summer. We can already picture our lip gloss, wallet, and cell phone slipping perfectly into it's round shape, our hair all tossed from the summer wind, our shoulders brown...oh, enough already. You get the idea.

Check out these boots, er, shoes, er, transformers. Looks like spats really are coming back into style as seen in today's Prada Fall 08 show. These metallic creations seem to consist of three interchangeable parts (though we'll admit it's hard to tell), making them a sure bet for upcoming 'pack like a pro' stories. We're totally sold on the newspaper-boy vibe that spats give off, though how these will manifest on the streets, only time will tell.

Catwalk Queen takes a look at the model controversy casting a shadow over London Fashion Week. Some believe designers are excluding models of color on purpose, while designers claim they are choosing those who best display their clothing. Catwalk Queen believes it's time to make a move to better represent your customer base.

'Bohemian Bourgeoisie' is the slogan for Net-A-Porter's sling of S/S deliveries. The point, though, seems slightly redundant. Anyone who can afford a 3,000 dollar beaded top probably doesn't have to worry to about whether their wardrobe is 'luxe' enough for the season. This person doesn't ever say "Hmm, I wonder if I should go for Hobo or Bobo this S/S?". It's not as if we entirely disagree with the slogan though. Yes, bohemian sensibilities crop up every S/S. Yes, if we visit Net-a-Porter, some part of us either wants to be 'luxe' or already is. It's redundant but you can't fault them for knowing their customer base. The tricky situation, of any e-commerce site, is making a direct connection between the glossies, the look books, the runway shows, and, uh, the shopping carts. It's the combination of aesthetic escape and consumer reality, an unattractive discord indeed.

We really fancied some of the collections presented this year, so, in tribute, we dug up this ridiculous video detailing 1960's London fashion in a manner that makes Tuesday seem possible after all. King's Road, the shopping street that made punk, mod, and The Beatles possible, is now completely gentrified (not that there aren't new shopping prospects London has to offer).
