>> If something was ever perfect for editorial work, these are it: Japanese art director Nagi Noda's synthetic hair animal hats. There are 15 of them, shaped like rabbits, poodles, owls, lions, elephants, to name a few, and they're some of the coolest things I've seen in a while. No wonder they're making appearances on Bjork's upcoming tour in the UK and in the Colette windows in September.

terry shares
>> You've probably seen Terry Richardson's ad campaign for Belvedere Vodka with Vincent Gallo, but what you might not have seen are the candid videos of Terry talking to Belvedere about how he got his start, which makes me totally think of Terry as Mark Hunter the Cobrasnake in 20 years:
When I first started, I had my snapshot [camera] and I'd go to magazines, and they'd be like, 'This is amateur' and 'There's red eyes' and 'I could take these pictures' and 'You've gotta be kidding' and 'This isn't fashion.'
I'd show up to do an entire job with one little camera, and eventually I figured out if I used two cameras, I could shoot quicker. But I would have this one little camera and show up at a shoot, and people would be like, 'Where's the equipment?' And it was hard, people would laugh . . . [but] eventually after doing it and doing it, people become more comfortable and accepting of it.
To see Terry talk about forging his way, and then the man at work, check these clips:
like a virgin
>> Behati Prinsloo has joined the ranks of models featuring in music videos. Two weeks ago, she shot a video at Lit in the East Village for The Virgins' "Rich Girls," playing the wild girl who corrupts boys in the bar. In some scenes, she only wears a Burberry trench and Agent Provocateur lingerie — you can see more preview images here — and the video is set to debut later this Summer.
Meanwhile, rumor has it that Victoria's Secret is grooming Behati to be "the next Gisele Bundchen," but this doesn't really sit right with me. If she was going to be the next Gisele at VS, wouldn't she be doing work as an Angel, not acting as the face of their Pink line?

are the new
>> Are Sasha, Natasha, Doutzen, Lily, and Catherine the new Naomi, Linda, Tatjana, Christy, and Cindy? Carine Roitfeld seems to be throwing that question out there, playing homage to the classic 1990 supermodel shot with an editorial she styled, "Ca, C'est Paris," in the June/July issue of Vogue Paris.
Speaking of the new Vogue Paris, I neglected to mention yesterday that it's a double cover issue — Laetitia Casta joins Noemie Lenoir in a strikingly similar shot.
thinking ahead
>> Introducing your first look at H&M Fall 2008, as modeled by Heather Marks. I see a couple of very designer-inspired pieces in there straight off the bat: Chloe criss-cross heels and Miu Miu dress much?
But wait, there's more to look at here (gotta love the square-toed boots).

joe zee strikes out
>> Elle editors Joe Zee and Robbie Myers got sassy on the season finale of Ugly Betty last night — their cameos featured them in a charity baseball game, uttering snappy retorts like: "I must have been distracted by how fat you look in white," or "Bite this." Naomi Campbell, on the other hand, who also appeared in the episode, wielded her bat "with love."
The best part is when Naomi whips out a cell phone . . . to see what happens, check out the clip below:
aggy moves on
>> May all the rampant rumormongering finally be put to rest. Agyness Deyn has indeed been dropped from the Burberry Fall 2008 campaign, but not because of overexposure, according to the campaign's photographer Mario Testino: "Agyness' fame and exposure are not a problem for me. I don't think like
that . . . As for Burberry, it was just a case of wanting a different
concept for their forthcoming season. I love Agyness."
We have yet to see, however, if Rose Huntington-Whiteley will take her place, and if Agyness will continue to rock the Burberry frocks at big events, like she was so good at doing . . .
