>>  Introducing a first look at Hannah MacGibbon for Chloe. This is new creative director's first collection for the brand since she succeeded Paolo Melim Andersson a week after he debuted his Fall 2008 Chloe collection.  As you'll remember, Hannah worked closely with Pheobe Philo from 2001 to 2006 when she helmed Chloe, and the Philo influence is definitely palpable in the color palette, the filmy loose blouses, the city shorts.

I'm a little disappointed with this collection — too much Gap likeness, not enough wow factor.  But I'll reserve judgment for the Spring 2009 collection.  A couple more looks available here.

>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —Stella Tennant is back, and sure to thrill, in Vera Wang's Fall 2008 campaign.  Shot by Steven Meisel in an Upper East Side apartment, this first preview is appropriately decadent, just like Vera likes it. Philip Crangi's massive rhinestone jewelry made this collection for me; It's good to see it well on display. [WWD]

>> Christopher Bailey has been staunchly loyal to Burberry's British roots, casting Brit-born models, singers, and actors in the label's recent ad campaigns. The Fall 2008 duo is no exception. Blue-blooded, Devon-born model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Leeds-bred actor Sam Riley combine for a moody, black-and-white set of Mario Testino-helmed photos, shot in London's Kensington Gardens. 

Meanwhile, the much-publicized rumors about a "riff" between Burberry and Agyness Deyn have been put to rest — the model will be featured in Burberry's Fall 2008 fragrance ads for The Beat — and Bailey himself asserted, "Agyness is a huge part of the Burberry family and a personal friend."  Just to put the nail on the rumor's coffin, Agyness showed up wearing a Burberry dress to Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball yesterday.
