>> It wouldn't be an Erin Fetherston show without some fantasy, and for Fall 2009, it was all about the living doll. Instead of doing any long, flowy nightgown-like dresses like she normally has, Fetherston went with an unusual amount of structure for the upcoming season — stiff bell-shaped skirts and fitted, tailored jackets were included in a number of looks. Some of the dark jewel tone colors combined with full skirts and bows recalled Zac Posen's Fall 2008 collection, and some of the dress and skirt shapes were remniscent of Miu Miu Spring 2008 — albeit Fetherston's hems were longer. Regardless, construction as a whole was noticeably improved, and Fetherston sent out a number of the frothy, pastel minidresses that her fans know and love. As for the glittery animal masks worn atop the model's heads? Those were the contribution of Fetherston's fiance, Hedi Ferjani.

Posts for February 15th 2009
>> THE MODELIZER —Has Coco Rocha — who recently had her hair cut at a Steven Meisel shoot, she told The Daily — graduated from Style.com video host to E! News video host? She was spotted backstage at Erin Fetherston today, interviewing the designer for the cameras with E! microphone, and then later, after she returned from her front row seat at Miss Sixty where she harassed Jessica Stam on the runway, looked like she was about to tape another segment in the middle of the tents.
UPDATE: It's confirmed from her blog — today was her "first day as a reporter for E!": "the pressure for that one interview with the celeb of the moment is quite intense, but don't get me wrong I lived for it. It was a great experience." [Oh So Coco]

Herve Leger Fall 2009: Full of Model Falls
>> It was no Prada Spring 2009, but this evening Herve Leger proved to be quite the war zone for walking models. Supposedly, two or three fell, and a number more slipped — the crowd clapped each time one got up, and Max Azria, who blamed the slippery wood runway, says he didn't care about the falls. Among the casualties, two promising new faces — 15-year-old Polish model Monica "Jac" Jagaciak, who Models.com just named among their top 10 Fall 2009 newcomers, and 17-year-old German model Karolin Wolter, who Style.com just noted as one to watch.

New York Fashion Week: Band Of Outsiders/Boy Fall 2009
Boy and Band of Outsiders Fall 2009 Full of Insiders
>> After two seasons of videos, Scott Sternberg decided to take his Boy and Band of Outsiders show live, creating tableaux vivants of models in classroom, by a lamppost, resting on a park bench, or reading a book on a bed — "I want to use the groupings, or vignettes, to create microcosms within this vast space." Props to the man for being one of the first, if not the first this week to rent a space big enough to hold his presentation and all the guests invited comfortably. Kanye West hit up this show too, and Jason Wu, who shares the same stylist with Sternberg, Tina Chai.
The sportwear label clearly has some major fans — Meredith Melling Burke was running around, camera out — which I've never seen her do — and got up close and personal with the brightly-colored, ankle-tied high heel bowling shoes that Boy collaborated with Manolo Blahnik on; they did look outstanding against the contrasting tights with color-tipped toes.
