Bally Sticks With Christy Turlington for Fall 2009 Ad Campaign

>> For Fall 2009, Bally stuck with the same team as Spring 2009 — Mario Sorrenti photographing Christy Turlington and Oriol Elcacho, this time styled by Lori Goldstein in a darker, more sophisticated light — because as Creative Director Brian Atwood put it, "For me Christy is simply the perfect Bally woman; graceful, intelligent, and natural; she exudes a sophisticated ease; her sensual beauty is perfectly complimented by Oriol's strong and confident presence.

Statement shoulders and unabashed fur were strong trends on the Fall 2009 runways but few can say whether the looks will really hit home with shoppers. Regardless, the combination of the two trends--literally, fur statement shoulders--seems to making headway. This week marked the launch of Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2009 ad campaign, in which models pose in the brand's hot pink furs, while a Miu Miu goat hair collar appeared in the new arrivals section of Net-a-Porter. See the trend from runway to retail floor, below.
