Suddenly Everywhere — Statement Earrings
>> Are shoulder-grazing earrings replacing collar necklaces and arm parties as the fashion crowd's favorite statement jewelry? Maybe, if all the jumbo earrings spotted on the streets of the most recent fashion weeks are any indication. From New York to Paris, giant baubles were spotted dangling from many a well-styled ear — Joanna Hillman wore Eddie Borgo's red silk tassel dusters in New York (far left); Giovanna Battaglia wore an ornate cross style in Milan (top, far right); and Olivia Palermo sported a huge emerald-enamel set in Paris (bottom left). But this look wasn't just confined to the streets: the Spring 2012 runways offered up their fair share as well, with Marni, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, and Blumarine all marching out versions of the style. While it may be too soon to tell if this look has real staying power, one thing is certain: it's a playful way to switch it up, and it definitely feels fresh for the season. Get ahead of the curve and make the look your own by shopping our picks of the chicest, jumbo earrings around — all measuring in at over 3.5 inches, and all currently available — here in the slideshow.

Kate Moss Walked For Louis Vuitton Again, at Her Own Request

>> Kate Moss, who closed the Louis Vuitton show last season while smoking a cigarette, was back on the Spring 2012 Vuitton runway today, again closing out the show. "She asked us to do the show," Marc Jacobs explained in an interview done right afterward. Surely, the brand was none too pleased — apparently more than 2,000 pairs of the fetish boots Moss wore in the Fall 2011 show (which retailed at $2,363) have been sold.
See Jacobs talk about the show in the video below — apparently, since the show revolved around a carousel, there was a carousel horse in the Vuitton office during fittings for all the models to pose on. And Jacobs says something that throws into question whether he really wants to head to Dior: “I could never do this anywhere else, do you know what I mean? Not only the Paris thing, but Vuitton, allows me."

Carine Roitfeld Hosts a Vampire Ball in Paris
>> Last night at Raspoutine restaurant in Paris, Carine Roitfeld hosted her vampire ball, bringing out Arnaults, Courtin-Clarins, and, of course, Roitfelds, in a largely red, white, and black dress code. Anna Dello Russo wore a huge, red-feathered Stephen Jones For Giles swan on her head; Roitfeld, Miranda Kerr, and Anja Rubik donned extra-heavy kohl; and Karlie Kloss bared skin in her slashed Anthony Vaccarello dress. Vamps, too, were out in full force: Abbey Lee Kershaw and Olivier Theyskens brought out their fangs while Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld and Riccardo Tisci bloodied their mouths. See more party pics in the slideshow.
Just a Little Leather
>> Take a cue from Givenchy, Stella McCartney, and 3.1 Phillip Lim: A hint of leather goes a long way for Fall 2011. Cold-weather classics in cozy wool and collegiate tweed get tough with the addition of patchwork panels, contrast sleeves, and a bit of downtown trim. Click through for 26 super-chic leather-accented pieces — from a collared Cushnie et Ochs blouse to a DKNY colorblock coat — all here, in the slideshow.
