>> New York Fashion Week has come to a close this season, but not without a little kick at the end. See Hanne Gaby Odiele flexing her muscles backstage at Calvin Klein while Julia Nobis makes faces with Suvi Koponen; and giggles go down amongst the '20s glamour at Ralph Lauren. More backstage snaps from those shows — and L'Wren Scott, too — in the slideshow.

>> Ankle straps are still going strong for Spring 2012, appearing on wedges, stilettos, and platform heels alike. A more surprising appearance? That of clear plastic, worked into heels at Prabal Gurung, Oscar de la Renta, and 3.1 Phillip Lim. See those shoes — plus pink camo desert boots from Tommy Hilfiger, Peter Som's marbled loafers, and more New York Fashion Week favorites — in the slideshow.
>> Spring 2012 will be the season of the hand-held clutch, if New York's runways have any say. Also getting heavy play: cross-body drawstring backpacks and the handbag in white. From Proenza Schouler's colorful take on the camera bag to Derek Lam's ram head-motif mini-case, we've gathered our favorite handbags from New York Fashion Week, for your viewing pleasure.
>> Yesterday marked the last day of New York Fashion Week, and to mark the occasion, more casual wear was brought out: Giovanna Battaglia rocked flats, and more than a few style favorites — Shala Monroque, Meredith Melling Burke, Lauren Santo Domingo, and Cecilia Dean, to name a few — went with denim pieces. See all those looks, plus 13 more, in the slideshow.
>> The super-chic were out in full force this week, and we were there to capture them in all their well-heeled glory. In fact, the parade of shoes outside the shows was some of the best eye candy of the season. Sky-high stilettos, sculptural wedges, two-tone loafers — they're all here, in the slideshow.
>> Alexa Chung's second collaboration with Madewell debuts online and in stores on September 22 — and now, we've got a full look at the collection.. "You know me," Chung says of her new designs. "I’m obsessed with polka dots and Peter pan collars — British things like that — so they’re all in there." There are also a couple of pajama-inspired pieces featuring a palm tree print Chung drew by hand. “I sketch so much in meetings,” she says. “The Madewell team insisted.”
>> Super-bright clutches, vintage briefcases, cross-body box bags — these were just some of the many crushworthy styles we spotted on the streets while making the Fashion Week rounds. From Bryanboy's too-cute royal blue Mini Miss Wu to Hanneli Mustaparta's woven zig-zag clutch — there were simply too many good ones to count. Some of our favorites are here in the slideshow.
