We've already seen the iconic Disney characters Barneys has dressed up like fashion people for its Electric Holiday retail concept, but what about the equally iconic fashion people involved in the production?

On Thursday, Barneys released a line drawing of Alber Elbaz, BryanBoy, Suzy Menkes, Steven Meisel, and Carine Roitfeld sitting in the front row at a fashion show. The animated runway spectacle will be the climax of a short film Disney has created for the collaboration, in which Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Daphne Duck among other characters will walk down a catwalk in Paris. "Rumor has it Franca Sozzani, Emmanuelle Alt, Sarah Jessica Parker, Glenda Bailey will be sitting together front row as well," a Barneys representative said in an email.

Electric Holiday will debut at Barneys' Madison Ave. flagship store in New York City on Nov. 14. Until then, a look at the cartoon renderings of some of the most influential people in fashion here in the gallery.

News Flash: Fashion People "Live to Sound British"

Call it the Downton Abbey effect.

Call it the Downton Abbey effect. Or maybe it's because of the recent London Olympics. Whatever the reason, Americans are reportedly co-opting traditional British terms at an ever-increasing rate. And the biggest participants in linguistic Anglomania of all? Fashion people.

"Fashion people live to sound British, the same way they over-pronounce French and Italian words because of those country’s fashion week's," Scene magazine editor Peter Davis explained in a recent New York Times article. "I have heard people who grew up far from London uttering that a runway collection was 'brilliant' or just 'bril.' Fashion editors worry they will get 'sacked' if their next issue or story is 'rubbish' and not 'clever' enough."

Not that this is really new, but crikey. Don't tell Glenn Beck.

Manolo Blahnik on the European Debt Crisis: "Oh God, It's Tough"

The rigors of Europe's economic crisis are starting to have an effect on Manolo Blahnik's business, and he's worried that "the savoir-faire is going to go" out of the shoes he creates.

The rigors of Europe's economic crisis are starting to have an effect on Manolo Blahnik's business, and he's worried that "the savoir-faire is going to go" out of the shoes he creates.

Blahnik told WWD that some suppliers he used to work with are shutting down or outsourcing as a way to deal with financial stresses.

"Some of the people are just gone," he said. "A buckle place near Milan that I used to work with very closely, they are going to close everything and move somewhere outside Hong Kong. I find it very difficult to deal with this, all the more because the priorities, the necessities of rich people, God bless them, is to be interested in what we do. But it's sad. If this situation is not resolved quickly, many people are going to suffer. The savoir-faire is going to go."

Still, Blahnik hasn't lost his zest for design. "It's something that I do with passion and with such pleasure that it's not even work," he said.

Donatella Versace Doesn't Mind If People Call Her Designs "Tacky"

Donatella Versace isn't concerned with critics who call her clothing tacky, so long as they're calling it something in the first place.

Donatella Versace isn't concerned with critics who call her clothing tacky, so long as they're calling it something in the first place.

"First of all, any reaction is a good thing," said the designer in an interview with Susanna Lau of Style Bubble. "The people who struggle are those who have no reaction at all. They are too safe. Tacky — never mind. What is tacky? What is chic?"

And while critics didn't call Versace's Spring 2013 collection tacky or chic, they didn't give it negative reviews either. Tim Blanks of Style.com said the dresses "had the carefree sensuality of festival gear," and Cathy Horyn of The New York Times called Versace's theme of lightness "an interesting idea."

Well Dunn: Jourdan Dunn to Launch Cooking Show

Jourdan Dunn is working on an online cooking show that's named, brilliantly, Well Dunn With Jourdan Dunn.

Jourdan Dunn is working on an online cooking show that's named, brilliantly, Well Dunn With Jourdan Dunn.

The show will air on the recently launched YouTube channel for Life + Times, the lifestyle and culture website backed by rapper Jay-Z. While not much is known about Dunn's show, a spokesman described it as part of a catalog of programs about everything from "fashion, architecture, music, style, food, consumables, electronics, and so forth." Dunn expressed her excitement about the show on Monday, tweeting, "Can't wait for this!!!!"

Dunn must have known about the show for a few months now. In August, the model tweeted a picture of a plate of sweet and sour ribs with the caption, "To find out how I made them stay tune for the show #WellDunn."

She joins a proud tradition of models moonlighting as chefs. Carol Alt released a cookbook called Easy, Sexy, Raw earlier this year, and Lorraine Pascale — famous for becoming the first black British model on the cover of Elle — started hosting the show Baking Made Easy on BBC in January 2011. And who could forget that before she became America's home cooking authority of record, Martha Stewart modeled for Chanel?
