Between Halloween and Hurricane Sandy, it has certainly been one crazy week. But the chic must go on, and so it did. In Los Angeles, LACMA's annual Film + Art Gala brought plenty of gorgeous looks from the fashion set; from Anna Wintour to Amber Valletta, there was no shortage of stunning gowns — and smiles — on display. In London, Henry Holland and Laura Bailey turned up to celebrate Atelier Liberty's launch, and in Berlin, Karolina Kurkova wowed in a champagne-colored Carlos Miele gown at Prix Montblanc. Those plus more of the week's most stunning looks — including Doutzen Kroes and Erin Heatherton in crisp white at the dance4life cocktail party — right here.

It's hard to believe that November is finally here. With just a few months left in 2012, there's plenty to do — from shopping to museum exhibits to (of course) the big Thanksgiving feast. Your guide to doing it all in style, here in the slideshow.

Happy Birthday, Anna Wintour! A Smiling Shot For Every One of Her 63 Years
Anna Wintour will turn 63 on Saturday, and at last word she'd fled to Upper Manhattan after her home in Greenwich Village lost power during Hurricane Sandy. But instead of focusing on the gloom, we're celebrating the occasion by taking a tour through Wintour's happiest moments caught on camera since she took over at Vogue in 1988. After all, she did say of quitting the magazine: "I think — my father always said to me that when you get too angry that's the time to stop. The day I get too angry is the day I take up gardening." Therefore: 63 Wintourian smiles, for each of her 63 years, in the slideshow.
Daphne Guinness Stops Time in Haute Living Magazine
"Time is infinite, but we are not infinite in it," Daphne Guinness says in the new issue of Haute Living.

Guinness was thinking about time as she styled herself and worked with Nick Knight for a photo shoot in the issue. Incidentally, the images feature watches from Roger Dubuis's Velvet collection, and Guinness recently signed on as the brand's ambassador. In one of the photos, the eccentric style icon is seen swinging upside down from a trapeze.

Likewise, the accompanying interview is filled with Guinness's trademark wit. The ambassadorship seems to have caused her to think a little more philosophically about the passing of time. "In what time are we? Are we in space time?" she asks her interviewer before explaining that she's obsessed with time's precision. "The Julian calendar is off," she says.
br>
"The idea of art and time is something that is perceived and Nick and I worked organically to show that you can do many things," she said later in the interview. "It's better to work with people with whom you know what you are going to get."

Anna Wintour, DVF Speak Out Against Chris Burch

br>
Two very powerful women have made a very public showing of support for Tory Burch, whose ex-husband Chris Burch sued her last month over disputes between their businesses.
"The person who has been at every single appointment over the years is Tory," says Anna Wintour in the December issue of Vanity Fair. "Tory is the one who has always talked to us about her aspirations, and her ideas for growth, how she saw the brand, asked advice on people she might want to bring in — it's always been, as far as we're concerned, 100 percent Tory's business, and we've never had anything to do with Chris."
In his suit, Chris accuses Tory and her management team of interfering with the development of Chris's year-old retail concept, C. Wonder. It also tries to guarantee that Chris will be able to sell his shares in Tory's company and asks that Tory be removed from her own board of directors.
Rumors circulated for months that Tory would sue Chris because of similarities between C. Wonder and her designer label, which they founded together in 2004. Chris beat Tory to it when he filed his suit in October. But Diane von Furstenberg says his attempt to sabotage Tory's business won't prove successful.
"What I find bizarre and nasty, and can't possibly finish well for him, is that he is . . . hurting [her business] by sabotaging it, by copying it," the designer said. "I don't understand."
