  • Someone was sufficiently disgruntled with designer Alexander Wang to throw eggs against every one of the windows of his flagship store in New York's SoHo neighborhood. We haven't heard whether or not the vandalism is connected to his labor lawsuits, but store employees' first task this morning was cleaning up the yolky mess. [The Cut]

  • Have you been dying to know when Zac Posen would finally start making sunglasses? Posen has inked a collaboration with eyewear manufacturer Illestva for a limited-edition line of shades that will be available next month at Opening Ceremony, Collete and Illestva.com. The collection of handbags, shoes, gloves, and other finishing touches used the same luxurious mix of colors and fabrics as the ready-to-wear collection, but the pieces were strong enough to stand on their own. Von Furstenberg's imaginative fetish clutches, shaped like hearts, clocks and stylized faces, open to reveal interior mirrors, while shoes in suede, satin and leopard print feature some really interesting-looking heels. It'll be in stores this August. Click through for a glimpse at all the goodness.

Simon Spurr Still Eligible For CFDA Award Despite Leaving Own Brand

>> Simon Spurr's unexpected departure from his eponymous clothing label hasn't disqualified him from winning this year's CFDA Award for menswear, but it might make it slightly more difficult for him to take it home.

>> Simon Spurr's unexpected departure from his eponymous clothing label hasn't disqualified him from winning this year's CFDA Award for menswear, but it might make it slightly more difficult for him to take it home.

CFDA executive director Steven Kolb told WWD that "it’s the individual, not the company, that is nominated," which means Spurr could still beat out fellow nominees Billy Reid and Patrik Ervell. Spurr left his post as creative director of his company without explanation on Saturday, just two days after being nominated for the award. Kolb noted that Spurr's exit might change the way voters see Spurr, adding that he hopes they "vote on that body of work."

Simon Spurr executives Judd Nyes — who started the company in 2006 — and CFO Jenny Villareal had no comment on the matter, but it's understood that they want to keep the company's doors open without Spurr.

Amanda Brooks Explains Her Revolving System of Closets

>> Outgoing Barneys Fashion Director Amanda Brooks is known for her impeccable style, and the organizational system that helps her achieve it is, well, heavenly.

In a recent interview for The Aesthete, Brooks explained to stylist Annabel Tollman that her closets are organized so that she's always closest to what she wants to wear at the moment. When things go out of rotation, they get farther away from her main wardrobe — and when she doesn't wear a garment at all, it might end up in a version of wardrobe hell. Brooks elaborates:

". . . I have a main closet built into my bedroom that is my current clothing. At the end of the season, if I haven't worn something for a while I have a secondary closet in my bathroom; off-season on one side and then purgatory on the other. If things are in purgatory for a year or two and haven't been worn, then pieces go to the basement, which is the equivalent of hell, or they get given away. I have moods for things in the closet, and sometimes I regret giving things away. I'll find myself schlepping down to the basement and digging through the boxes to find a piece. The things I consider friends are the ones that never leave my main closet."

Brooks didn't speak to her decision to leave Barneys, which she announced last Thursday. But although her job is changing, she told Tollman her style will likely remain the same.

"I return to the '70s more than everything else; classic, and a little bit groovy. A little shrunken stripe with a cap sleeve, some oversize sunglasses, maybe a little flare on my jeans, the bamboo-handled Gucci bag. It suits my body; no boobs, lean hips . . . I feel like some people have a taste for one decade and a body for another. But for me my body and heart are both ’70s, so it's pretty straightforward. I'm a very contemporary creature."

>> It doesn't get much better than this dreamy Vogue editorial featuring Kate Moss in the very best of the season's haute couture. Styled by Grace Coddington and photographed by Tim Walker at the Ritz Paris, these pictures are just plain gorgeous.

This Summer, the Ritz will close its doors for an unprecedented two-year renovation. In honor of the hotel's storied fashion history (Coco Chanel lived there, after all), Walker photographed Moss in a bevy of beautiful couture dresses by Alexander McQueen, Dior, and Giambattista Valli, among others. Moss looks so at home in all of the pictures — and that might be because she's spent a lot of time at the Ritz.

"When I was with Johnny Depp, he always stayed there. I had an apartment in Paris at the time, but he said, 'No, we're staying at the Ritz,' so he came by and swept me up to the Ritz — he didn't want to slum it in my apartment!"

And if you have the option to stay in such a beautiful place, why wouldn't you? Click through to see a few pictures from Moss's beautiful spread.
