- Donna Karan will memorialize her late husband, Stephan Weiss, with a book titled Stephan Weiss: Connecting the Dots, Portrait of a Man. The Assouline title will be on shelves this Fall and will focus on his artwork and how he supported Karan's career. "Behind every great woman is a greater man, and Stephan was mine," Karan said. Jean Paul Gaultier to Present Menswear and Women's Couture Together

br>
Jean Paul Gaultier's July couture show will include something many of the other Paris shows won't have: male models.
Gaultier is skipping the Fall 2012 men's shows scheduled for the end of June and will instead present his menswear collection alongside his women's Fall 2012 couture line on July 4. The mixed show will take the form of an all-day presentation in the designer's showroom on Rue Saint-Martin in Paris. A spokeswoman for the house said a final format for the presentation had not been decided.
This isn't the first time Gaultier has put menswear and women's couture together. There were a few men's looks included with his Fall 2011 couture collection, and he put men on the runway when he launched his couture line in 1997.
Sophie Theallet Signs on to Collaborate With The Limited

br>
Sophie Theallet has teamed up with The Limited, and will offer a Holiday capsule collection at most of the retail chain's stores come November.
In her position as the brand's exclusive guest designer, Theallet said she wanted to bring "the luxurious nonchalance of my aesthetic to an affordable price point." And while details on what the products will look like — or how much they will cost — weren't clear when the collaboration was announced on Monday, Theallet is committed to placing an emphasis on quality. "I like that challenge . . . to make the best product possible," she said.
The designer's contract with The Limited is slated to extend beyond the Holiday collection. The retail chain's CEO Linda Heasley said Theallet "has exquisite taste, and is genuine and approachable, which we love."
Theallet has collaborated with mass-market brands before. She worked with The Gap after winning the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award in 2009, and last year created a line of shoes and handbags for Nine West.
More Details Emerge About the Future of Armani

br>
An Italian newswire report suggesting that Giorgio Armani will form a foundation to run his fashion empire after he dies set the press ablaze with speculation that the future of the fashion label has been set in stone.
However, an Armani spokeswoman said today that the report, published by Ansa last week, was incorrect. Instead, the spokeswoman said, Armani, 77, would consider selling his company to a large fashion conglomerate only if he's presented with a good enough offer. And, while he is also considering leaving the brand to a foundation, Armani told WWD last week that it is "only one of the possibilities."
Armani's succession plan has been in focus lately because of a recent WSJ. Magazine profile that explores what will happen to the company after the designer is gone. In the profile, Armani admitted that he hasn't settled on a plan, saying, "As long as I'm here, I'm the boss."

The 7 Chicest Moments From the 2012 MTV Movie Awards
Jessica Biel, Shailene Woodley, and Charlize Theron were among those who brought major fashion cred to last night's MTV Movie Awards red carpet. Biel — who sported the same sleek coif she debuted at last month's Met Gala — stunned in a white minidress from Spring 2012 Chanel, while Woodley looked ultrachic in a crisp black pantsuit from Stella McCartney's Fall 2012 evening collection. Theron, too, was the picture of modern glamour; the actress opted for clean-lined, bright red Fall 2012 Lanvin. "I think you have to try and not be trendy and just be comfortable," she explained. "I'm really fortunate to work with really talented people in the industry. At the end of the day, I have to put it on and feel like me."

Burberry Resort 2013
Wearable, well-tailored clothing in rich colors made up the bulk of Christopher Bailey's Resort 2013 collection for Burberry. "We played with textures and prints and wove trench references, sartorial detailing and these little hints of corsetry throughout the evening dresses, suiting and our iconic outerwear," Christopher Bailey, Burberry's chief creative officer explained. To that end, women's trousers feature paper-bag waists and pleating, and the shapes and variations on the house's functional knitwear have an updated spin. The same can be said of the men's selection, which features lightweight suits, seersucker pants, and cotton poplin shirts. But it's the color palette of the collection — which ranges from metallic gold and dusty rose for ladies to royal blue and rich olive for the boys — that give the collection a luxurious depth and feel.
