  • Good news: Roberto Cavalli is designing a collaboration for Target. Bad news: it's only going to be sold at Target Australia. Strange news: Target Australia is not affiliated with Target Corporation US at all — even though they share a red bullseye logo. [The Daily Telegraph]

  • "She is a real woman . . . strong and happy," Diane von Furstenberg said of Arizona Muse, the face of her Fall 2012 campaign. "She's determined, she is talented, she is a hard worker and she knows what she wants. And that is so DVF." [WWD]

  • Karl Lagerfeld was once a little boy. [Racked]

The bags are priced between $198 and $328 and will be sold at department stores like Nordstrom and Dillard's. Karl Lagerfeld

An Investigation Into the Life of Choupette Lagerfeld

Every diva comes with a certain amount of glamorous mythology, and the same can certainly be said for Choupette Lagerfeld.
Choupette Lagerfeld: Myth vs. Reality

Every diva comes with a certain amount of glamorous mythology, and the same can certainly be said for Choupette Lagerfeld. More has been written about the cat, who celebrated her first birthday on Sunday, than about most full-grown human beings — but how much of it is true, and how much isn't?

Case in point: Karl Lagerfeld has said on numerous occasions that she refuses to eat on the floor. Why, then, would her two maids serve Choupette's celebratory birthday shrimp cocktail from a plate placed on the ground? We attempt to answer this and other important questions here in our investigative report.

Pop Magazine's Autumn/Winter 2012 issue features an armless, torso-less Sui He clad in Balenciaga on one of its three covers.

This cover, shot by Viviane Sassen and styled by the magazine's fashion director Vanessa Reid, will be joined by another soft cover and a hardback version that have yet to be released.

The issue follows a "Warrior Woman" theme and promises an interview with Tina Turner and a feature on artists Yayoi Kusama — of the recent dotty Louis Vuitton collaboration — and Sarah Lucas. There's also a feature on the return of the Bernadette Corporation, an artists collective that has produced, at various times, an haute couture line, a magazine called Made in USA, and a documentary about the protests at the 2001 G8 Summit in Genoa, Italy.

The issue will be on newsstands Aug. 22; an exclusive look at the first cover below.

Carine Roitfeld Is Not a Nymphomaniac

Carine Roitfeld may have created some sexually charged editorials and fashion ads in her time, but the editor says that doesn't mean she's a sex addict.

Carine Roitfeld may have created some sexually charged editorials and fashion ads in her time, but the editor says that doesn't mean she's a sex addict.

"People told me I was a nymphomaniac," Roitfeld said in an interview with The Daily Telegraph. "Maybe I seem crazy because of some picture; maybe it's my art, what I have to express. But I have been with the same person for over 30 years — we never married because I am superstitious — but with the same person forever. I've never been a nymphomaniac."

She also clarified that she was never in the running for Anna Wintour's job at Vogue, a rumor widely circulated in the press and used as a plot line in the movie The Devil Wears Prada. In reality, Roitfeld has a great deal of respect for Wintour.

"She's tough but she's very honest. I like that," she said. "When my kids came to New York she invited them to dinner and as a mum those are things you don't forget. She is not my best friend, we never talk on the phone every day, but she is someone I respect, and the older you get in this business the fewer people you respect."

Gisele Bundchen Confirms Second Pregnancy

Update: After months of speculation, Gisele Bundchen has confirmed that she is five months pregnant in an interview with South American television network TV Global.

Update: After months of speculation, Gisele Bundchen has confirmed that she is five months pregnant in an interview with South American television network TV Global. The interview is set to air this Sunday, Aug. 26, and in it Bundchen says that she is "very happy" about the new addition to her family.

Us Weekly confirmed the news in June, reporting that Bundchen was about "three months" pregnant. "They are really happy!" an unnamed source told the magazine, referring to Bundchen and her husband, Tom Brady.

In May, several Brazilian newspapers, including Epoca, IG, and Agora Sao Paolo reported the rumor, claiming the model asked Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci to make her Met Gala dress roomy enough to accommodate her growing midsection. The paper also claimed she told friends at the Met Gala that she was about two months along, but wanted to wait until she hit the three-month mark before she confirmed the news to a wider audience.

A spokesperson for Bundchen would neither confirm nor deny the rumor at the time, saying that it went against policy to comment on Bundchen's personal life. The model's representation was similarly reticent in 2009 when they declined to comment about Bundchen's first pregnancy.

This will be Bundchen's second child — she delivered a boy named Benjamin in 2009 — and Brady's third. Brady had a son named John with actress Bridget Moynahan in 2007.
