It's the most wonderful time of the year: covers for the September 2012 issues are starting to trickle in, and the images on them are as captivating as expected.
br>
As reported previously, Victoria Beckham is featured on the cover of Glamour, on which she wears little other than a tiara and the frothy bubbles from a bath. Katy Perry, clad in a pink Bottega Veneta dress and purple hair, is on the cover of Elle. Karlie Kloss has two September covers to her name this year: she's on the front of both Vogue UK (in printed pieces from Jonathan Saunders) and Vogue Japan (in one of the last garments Stefano Pilati designed for Yves Saint Laurent). Vanity Fair used a paparazzi photo of Kate Middleton, who it recently named to its International Best Dressed List, on its September style issue.

All Eyes on Carine Roitfeld's Collaboration With MAC (Update)
MAC has finally released images of the products included in its highly anticipated collaboration with Carine Roitfeld.
br>
Roitfeld's beauty signature is a dramatic, smoky eye, and the MAC collection mirrors that look with dark eye shadow, bold brow colors, and nude lipstick. The editor didn't just decide on the color palette — she advised MAC on everything from the package design — which includes the same handwritten initials that appear on her new magazine CR Fashion Book — to product names.

Roitfeld also stars in the collection's ad campaign, shot by Mario Sorrenti. A look at the collection here in the gallery.
Revealed! More Pics From Anna Dello Russo's H&M Collection
Remember during Couture week when Anna Dello Russo was spotted frolicking around Place Vendome in a pink ball gown and toting a set of turquoise luggage? Turns out that luggage — and in fact all the accessories she was wearing, right down to the bejeweled gator sunglasses perched atop her head — belong to her upcoming H&M collaboration. (The dress was Oscar de la Renta; the frolicking, part of a photo shoot for the September issue of Vogue Russia.)
br>
Now that the issue of Vogue Russia has finally hit newsstands, those images — plus others — have made their way onto the web. What they reveal is not only a much more complete look at the collection, but also a much more intriguing one. Diamante "A" earrings, oversized chain necklaces emblazoned with Dello Russo's name, hinged alligator collars, giant deer charms, bejeweled minaudieries, gold ankle booties — all the pieces are big, glitzy, and very ADR.
Click through for a first look at the collection — hitting H&M stores worldwide Oct. 4 — in the slideshow.
Love All: Designers Customize Tennis Balls For Vogue
In honor of the US Open Tennis Championships, which started in New York on Monday, Vogue asked designers including Pamela Love, Peter Som, and Eddie Borgo to design tennis balls with elements of their signature motifs. The one-of-a-kind balls are decorated with everything from cloth flowers to rhinestones, lace, leather, and aggressive metal studs. Love shot an arrow through her design ("I have four arrow tattoos, so I thought, why not?" she says), while Som's sparkly entry takes inspiration from a diamond tennis bracelet. Dana Lorenz's Fenton ball, with brass chains and pearls, takes inspiration from Christian Lacroix and the glamorous supermodels of the '90s. A selection of our favorites from the project here in the gallery.

Vionnet Designers Have "Interrupted" Their Time at the Brand

Vionnet confirmed in a statement Tuesday that twin sister designers "Barbara and Lucia Croce have, currently, interrupted their collaboration with Vionnet SpA."
The statement went on to say that work on the label's Spring 2013 collection "is being carried out by the in-house design team and we will be proud to present it on the 28 Sept. in Paris, where we will also be celebrating 100th anniversary of the brand on the 30 of Sept. with a special event and presentation of the Demi Couture collection." Whether the Croce sisters will return is not known.
The statement confirms reports from Monday suggesting the sisters would leave the storied brand after having disagreements with their new boss, Goga Ashkenazi.
Ashkenazi's London-based private equity firm Go To Enterprise bought a controlling stake in the house just three months ago. At the time, the purchase was billed as a move to accelerate "the strategic development of the fashion house," but now it seems to be writing another chapter in Vionnet's beleaguered modern development. Since French businessman Arnaud de Lummen revived it in 2006, the house has seen five creative administrations: Sophia Kokosalaki — who will leave her current post at Diesel Black Gold next month — designed the brand's first collection in 67 years for Spring 2007. She left in 2008 and was replaced by Prada alum Marc Audibet. When he left in February 2008, the house appointed an unnamed team of designers to create the line. (De Lummen told WWD, "Vionnet doesn't need to be associated with a designer's name, it's an institution.")
When former Valentino chairman Matteo Marzotto acquired the brand in February 2009, he appointed designer Rodolfo Paglialunga as creative director. Paglialunga left Vionnet in October 2011 and was replaced by the Croce sisters.

Kate Moss's Dismissal, Qatar's Luxury Label, and Emma Stone's Interview

Those stories and more in our daily news roundup.

- Rumor has it Kate Moss was dropped as the face of David Yurman after eight years because she did a jewelry collaboration with British line Fred's. The campaign for that line was, in Yurman's estimation, "embarrassingly similar" to his own ads with Moss and factored in to her dismissal. [Stylelist]
br> - The Qatar Luxury Group is planning to open its very own clothing and accessories label, called Qela, sometime this year. The goal is for Qela to open a store in Doha, Qatar, by the end of the year and expand to international markets in 2013. [Yahoo]

br> - An Italian hosiery company called Zephyr is suing Victoria's Secret for $15 million, claiming that the lingerie maker is making inexpensive knockoffs of its legwear — but using cheap lace and bad construction to do it. [Elle]
br> - To clarify: Tyra Banks did not attend Harvard Business School. She attended "a non-degree-granting certificate course at Harvard called the Owner/President Management Program." [Jezebel]
br> - Jenn Rogien, costume designer behind the popular HBO show Girls, is coy when asked whether she's planning on launching her own clothing line. "Right now I'm fully immersed in costume design but I would never say never," she says. [WWD]
br> - The Cambridge Satchel Company has won a trademark infringement case against rival bag maker Zatchels, which has been ordered to pay an unspecified settlement. But Zatchels said in a statement, "The designs we have been offering over the last few months will continue to be offered and are not affected by this settlement. It is not in any way relevant to our current trading position." [Catwalk Queen]
Revealed: Exactly One Red Dress From Margiela's Collaboration With H&M

br>
The September issue of Elle France includes a sneak peek of the highly anticipated Maison Martin Margiela collaboration with H&M.
br>
An elegantly draped, asymmetrical red dress from the collection made its way onto one of the pages of the magazine and was promptly scanned by a blogger and uploaded to The Fashion Spot. This dress is the first piece of the collection to be revealed since the partnership was announced in June. The rest of the pieces are expected in H&M stores worldwide and online Nov. 15.
The Many Sayings — and Faces — of Tom Ford
Today may mark his 51st birthday, but in truth, Tom Ford doesn't look a day over 33. That's no small feat, especially when one considers the very busy life he's led: the 18-hour days as the creative director of Gucci, the five-year stint pulling double duty at the helm of YSL, the critically acclaimed filmmaking career, and — of course — the rise of his very own eponymous empire. Through it all, Ford's not only maintained his dapper sense of personal style, but he's also maintained his striking good looks. In fact, some may say he looks better now than ever. At the very least, he's definitely perfected his steel-eyed red-carpet pose.
br>
But that's not all. Not even close. The man's also delivered his share of memorable quotes, more than possibly anyone else alive in fashion today with the exception of Karl Lagerfeld — and the Kaiser's had a 17-year head start.
br>
So, in honor of the oft-controversial, always-entertaining designer's Aug. 27 birthday — not to mention his way with words and skill with a pose — here's a look at some of our very favorite Tom Ford quotes.
Alber Elbaz Is Glad Designers Don't Hate Each Other Anymore

br>
"There was a time when designers hated other designers," Alber Elbaz said in a recent interview with WSJ. Magazine. "But today there is actually major respect between many of us. We understand each other. We are all going through the same stressful process. Before shows we send each other little cards with congratulations; we send each other flowers. We're kind of a crazy family, but still a family. There are many designers I really respect and love. I love Azzedine (Alaïa). I like Narciso (Rodriguez) and Marc (Jacobs) and Nicolas (Ghesquiére) from Balenciaga. The first collection Raf Simons did for Dior was gorgeous. I'm not jealous of people — I'm only jealous of people who can eat and not gain weight. I respect talent. When I see talent and when I see a good person who comes with the talent, I melt."
What Are the Supermodels Listening to These Days?
A look at the playlists of four very different models — Chanel Iman, Jessica Stam, Chrissy Teigen, and Kate Upton, to be exact — reveals that their taste in music is just as different as their personas.
br>
All four women signed on as part of Skullcandy's Supermodel Crew this Summer; the first part of the collaboration with the headphone brand was to list what songs are on their Spotify playlists. Teigen's is heavy on R&B from John Legend (they're engaged to be married, after all), while Stam's includes soulful, old-school tracks from Etta James, Otis Redding, and Willie Nelson. What are the others listening to? Find out — and listen to the tracks — right here.
