Givenchy Pre-Fall 2013

After infusing a modern femininity into nuns' habits for Spring 2013, Riccardo Tisci created a decidedly more masculine offering for Pre-Fall.

After infusing a modern femininity into nuns' habits for Spring 2013, Riccardo Tisci created a decidedly more masculine offering for Pre-Fall. His daywear tended toward sharp, clean lines and colorblocking, and pieces that lean on menswear staples (the notch-lapel cape in gray wool is a perfect example of this). That's not to say there weren't frills: a geometric appliqué decorated the edges of dresses and a sporty camel bomber jacket, and lace accents appeared on pants, skirts, and sweaters.

The evening pieces carried a little more flounce, attributable to the ruching technique used mainly on skirts, and to the controlled addition of ruffles.

On the Street and in the Front Row: The Best Snaps From the Men's Shows

It's always Fashion Week somewhere, right?

It's always Fashion Week somewhere, right? With Pitti Uomo just finishing in Florence, the men's collections recently wrapping in London, and the men's ready-to-wear lines now walking Milan, that new adage has certainly felt truer than over the last few weeks. Thankfully, those recent reasons for hustle have not disappointed — especially in the street-style department. So far in Milan alone there have been glimpses of Tamu McPherson working her magic in vivid hues, Anna Dello Russo giving "borrowed from the boys" a new spin in smart little suits, and Candela Novembre showing her support for the Kaiser in a black-and-white Karl Lagerfeld baseball jacket.

See all those, plus the best front-row and street snaps from Pitti and London, right here in the slideshow.
